The name
Why “Maison”.
In French, a maison is a house — a place where people are welcomed. Maison Cala is conceived as a house of hospitality: a wine, but also the tables, places and people around it.
Cala evokes the small Mediterranean coves where the sea meets the land — the setting the brand was imagined for.
Origin & producer
Domaine de la Périnade, since 1830.
Maison Cala Rosé is produced in partnership with Domaine de la Périnade, a family estate in Pezens, near Carcassonne, founded around 1830 by Hippolyte Arnal. Since 2019 the 6th and 7th generations of the Arnal family have made the wine together.
Fifty hectares in a single block, clay-limestone and gravelly soils, and a Mediterranean climate tempered by Atlantic influences. Farmed without herbicides and HVE certified since 2022.
Southern France, not Provence
A French rosé from Southern France.
Maison Cala is not a Provence rosé and is not a Côtes de Provence wine. It is a French rosé produced in Southern France, in the Languedoc near Carcassonne.
The French Riviera is where Maison Cala is shared and served — a key brand and hospitality market, not the wine's place of production.
